For White Industries Hub

Say WHAT?! Yes, Rock Shox made a disc brake back in the late 1990's. And yes, this is both a mechanical and hydraulic caliper! The pistons are hydraulically actuated, yet they're cable actuated (kinda like some road disc brakes these days). Rock Shox bought the design from Amp Research, and marketed this brake to go with the White Industries 3-bolt hubs. They were one of the world's first actually functional disc brakes! A definite piece of mountain biking history, Great for restoring a special retro mtb, or for display and art purposes.

Condition

Great shape! Just a few very light scratches and a bit of dirt in the corners. Appears to function well, but it hasn't been tested. Pads have very little wear.

Details

Mount: I.S. 51m

Gold w/green pads and silver mount

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0785/5144/9740/files/img_5431_1200x800__77765.1411479227.1280.1280.jpg?v=1791141498
https://swooncycles.com/products/vintage-rock-shox-disc-brake-cable-actuated-hydraulic-piston-for-white-industries-hub
