The Z-Max was the all-around fast XC tire for both dry and wet conditions, these Over Drive (and to a lesser extent the Harddrive) were even faster on dry dirt and rock.  These were stock on many fillet brazed and tig welded Ritchey models over the years (P-21, P-22...) or desired upgrades on Klein Attitude, Stumpjumper Ultimate\/Epic, Fat Chance Yo Eddy, Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer, and many other early 1990's bikes. No cracking, crackling on bending, or dryness.
