It is engraved \"Cyclo Oppy Reg Design\".  There's a set screw to prevent it from rotating.  This will likely work on any derailleur from this era that has a flat plate chainstay bracket.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eThe Oppy was made in England from the pre-war era in 1938 to 1949.  It is a smaller, lighter, more efficient than the more common Cyclo Standard rear derailleur.  \u003cspan\u003eThe Cyclo Oppy is a lighter, shorter version of the Cyclo Standard. It has an integral chain tension spring and the mounting bracket is slightly canted forward to give a smoother cable run. It was designed for medium ratio solo bicycles (via Disraleigears)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eThe Oppy was named after famed Australian long distance cyclist Sir Hubert Opperman.  It's name includes \"Solo\" referring to this designed for single person bicycles and not tandems. \u003cspan\u003eIt also was available in a 4 speed version that featured a different lower jockey wheel.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003e\u003cstrong style=\"font-size: 10px;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eCondition\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eNear mint or better with very little wear.
