In the 60's and 70's almost all decent bikes had these hubs, and for good reason.  They're pretty, and last forever with even less than optimal care.  This pair is in exceptional condition with very light use.  The bearings are smoother than I've ever felt in a pair of these, reminiscent of a Phil Wood hub almost!  The rear axle has been spaced to 128mm, which will work for either 126mm or 130mm steel frames without re-spacing.  You could easily take out a spacer and put it back to it's original 126mm.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: wear.  Skewers look amazing, with just a tiny bit of scratching on one cam end.  Barely any of the grit that usually gathers around the corners of the lever blade and axle end handle.  Great for a  This is a VERY rare hub!  Not even the MOMBAT Mountain Bike Museum has one, and they have everything!  It's a piece of mountain bike history worthy of a museum shelf or a show quality retro build.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eThis hub is drastically different than the current WORD model, which appears to have been unchanged for many years now.  The hub shell is sort of bullet shaped, with two distinct ridges in the center of the shell.  The shell is much thicker than the current model's.  The Paul logo is prominently displayed on a decal on the shell.  It still has the \"Fancy Bolts\" that come with the hubs today. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: medium;\"\u003eNear MINT, very lightly used condition!
